Enjoy peace and quiet in this cozy 2 bedroom cottage on a beautiful, secluded lake. The cottage has been completely remodeled with central air and heat. It sleeps 5 with double-size bunk beds in one bedroom and a queen size bed in the other. A canoe, 2 kayaks and a vintage rowboat are available free of charge. The lake is adjacent to Barry State Game Area and located less than 1/4 mile from the North Country Nation Scenic Trail, Circle Pines Center and the Barry Roubaix bike trail. Yankee Springs Recreation Area with fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and water sports is just a few miles away. So is the quaint town of Hastings and all sport, Gun Lake. The whole area feels like a piece of Up North in Southwest Michigan. The cottage also features a fireplace and an outdoor fire pit to warm up a chilly evening. The fishing is good and there is a sandy area for swimming

Summary: This place was Awesome!! Super quiet we were the only people on the lake the weekend we went. We caught bluegill off the dock and some big and little bass. The kids really enjoyed swimming, fishing and playing with the hammock! We will definitely comeback for some R&R at this little lake

Summary: This has been our second time visiting this cozy cottage facing beautifuk Stewart Lake! It is relaxing and peaceful! Nothing beats watching the sunset and the colors reflecting on the water. We enjoyed the sunset as while having a bonfire going and grilling some delicious food. Sherri is such a kind and wonderful host, she's always answered all of our questions and has been welcoming. This is definitely one of our most favorite places for a getaway. It will not be our last time visiting. Thank you again Sherri for your wonderful hospitality!

Summary: The cabin has the cutest vintage charm and is so well stocked, everything we needed for a stay at the lake! My teens loved using the rowboat, kayaks, and canoe! It is right on a small quiet lake. Great for relaxing, swimming, and fishing! Outside spaces were awesome! Our favorite dinner spot was the little dining nook on the side of the cabin!

Summary: I read another persons review where they said, “Stop looking and just book this place!” So we did, based on the that review. We are so glad we did. This place was perfect!!! Quaint, cozy, warm, peaceful, quiet, easy, relaxing and absolutely beautiful. It was like being at home. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the bedding so soft and cozy and everything you could possibly want was there. We loved the kayaks and the fire pit and were able to enjoy the outdoors- the weather was perfect!!!! Sheri was an absolute delight to work with and love how she has decorated. My husband and I just needed a nice and quiet little getaway to reconnect and rejuvenate and this was perfect. We can’t wait to go back. The only negative was we weren’t there long enough. Oh, and the little towns around are cute, like Hastings and Denton. Seriously, don’t look anymore and just book it.

Summary: The cottage is just as described. Adorable, clean, well stocked with everything you could need. Beautiful views. The lake is very clean and great for swimming and fishing. Sherri was amazing. Answered all my questions very promptly and made sure my family had a great stay. Awesome place, especially for the low price. Highly recommend.

Summary: Listing was accurate - this place is a gem. Affordable, peaceful, cozy, well-furnished/stocked. I've had my fair share of airbnb and vrbo/homeaway experiences (as a renter) and the amenities and furnishings in this one was really impressive. Flashlights, bug spray, pots, pans, baking dishes, gallon of drinking water in the fridge, kayaks/canoe... just to mention a few. Husband and I stayed for 3 nights and took up some of the suggested activities - Gilmore car museum and Yankee Spring Rec Area, both of which I'd recommend. We felt well cared for by the property manager Sheri and look forward to coming back.
